Thermoquad options

Post by 69PowerWagon »

Hey guys, I could use some help with the Thermoquad on my 71 D200. The truck has a 440 pieced together from different year car and truck engine parts. The tquad on it is a 9022, which a little searching says it came off of a 1974 truck with a 360 and auto trans. This truck has been sitting for some time and the carb needs a rebuild. The engine used to run hot and had a hesitation when taking off from a stop.

A friend gave me a used thermoquad from a motor home, it's a 61588A, a little more searching ways this carb is for a 440-3/ Industrial. Do you think one would be better to use than the other?
1952 B3GA truck
1971 D200 440 727
1976 D200 318 4spd

I'd go with the T-Quad that was originally used on a 440. :2cents :idea
