Fast Idle issue
Re: Fast Idle issue
Thinking about that sticking problem you might feel the end closest to the carb to see if you can feel a burr on it at the opening. If you do you could file it off. After many years of use it is posible for the inside of that end to mushroom a little. Just a thought.

This doesn't help your sticky or short stroke linkage problem but will cause havoc with idle.

Nope - was just unplugged while I was cleaning.thehemikid wrote:This doesn't help your sticky or short stroke linkage problem but will cause havoc with idle.

So I sprayed a bunch of carb cleaner all over and inside and it seems to have fixed the problem. I also have a rod linkage coming later this week and am going to try to attach it to ensure WOT happens when pedal is fully pressed (only engages about 50% currently).
