I've never heard of a W Series Front axle with a 2.94 in it? I'm assuming your
W100 is later than '68?

I have a D100 with a LA318/NP435/2.94 combination and I like it. :Thumbsup :2cents

It kind of depends on the engine/transmission/tire setup. it is all about the ratios to move the flying brick. Like John's 318 with a (low geared) manual, it seems happy. My old Swinger 318 warmed over, 904 was happy with the 2.94s. It depends on what you're trying to do. Maybe some more details and we can give opinions. My :2cents Craig

I have a fresh 360 with a NP-435. No towing or super heavy loads. 33 tires now but they are tired so I will probably replace with 30's.
