I just acquired this 1965 sweptline and I love it. Can you guys help me identify the motor so I can replace parts. I was told it's the 383.

It didn't come with a 383.

Is the distributor on the front of the motor or rear?

The owner said something along those lines but he wasn't sure.

Is it 2 barrel or 4?
Does it have a machined pad on the block to the right of the distributor & in front of intake valley?
What numbers are cast into side of the block?

I've been looking for that and I can't find it. It has an after market edelbrock intake with a 4 barrell demon carb.
