Post by flammulator »

Hello from germany.
When i bought the truck the dip stick for the 727 was missing.
So i bought one from SUMMIT.Tube and stick.
It works but its to short. The measurement is always an act.
I wrote in "searching" category, but no answer.

Can somone send me a pic and a measurement? BB 383 WITH AC.

i have a 727 but with a 318.. don't think that should make a difference though
if you want, i can measure the lengths of my transmission dipstick from the shoulder to the level lines..

is that what you need ?

Hello.
Thank you for helping me.
I have the original tube with a dip stick which i didnt know where it is from.
This one looks only a little bit into the tranny.
I have got the one from Summit. It looks about 1" into the tranny.
Important are the level lines.

I think your measurement will help me to know how long the original dip stick iss.

sorry i forgot about your question..

i measured the dipstick and
from the bottom of the metal shoulder (under the rubber seal) it is:

16 3/8" to max fill line
16 3/4" to low (add one pint) line
18" to the tip
