dana 60 yoke vs dana70 yoke

just put dana 70s in my truck apperantly rear is an newer model from front (68vs 78) the yoke on the rear is massive my question is there are difference between the dana 60 yoke and the dana 70 yoke ? both from what I can tell from research have 29 splines . not looking forward to having driveline work done again .thanks

Ya, bigger trucks have bigger metal to handle bigger weight.
The transfer case is where the bigger/smaller yokes are interchangeable.

Dana 60 and 70 will interchange yokes BUT 68 will have coarse splines and 78 will have the fine 29 spline.Many size yokes are available for your 29 spline diff.

What is the cut off year for the coarse spline yokes for the Dana axles?

good news my drive line guy says there is a conversion u-joint for that application :dance

For the most part, 68 is the cut-off, though in very few cases it can go to 70.
