I have a 68 with a 4 speed tranny.
When I brake aggressively the engine dies.
Tried disconnecting and plugging power brake booster, but it did not help.
Any suggestions? thanks

Do u slam the clutch pedal to the floor at the same time as u hit the brake pedal?

Even when I put it in neutral, release the clutch and then brake, it dies.

Is the clutch operating? flywheel not stuck to disc?

Check for other vacuum leaks?

Is the engine idle speed set high enough to begin with?

Fuel pressure is dropping or float level needs adjustment(not enough fuel in the float bowls to keep fuel from flowing).
Raise idle speed to 1200 and then test your hard braking. If the engine sputters but doesn't stall adjust floats and then back off your idle.

Thanks for all the advice.
It was the float set too low.
It runs and stops good now.
