No oil pressure 68 D 100

Post by Beals »

Got. The 383 started. No oil pressure. It has a mechanical gage. Maybe the line is plugged. It has a rubber line. i have an aftermarket gage to put in.
If it were easy, everyone would do it.

Pulled the oil pump and cleaned it. Will get gaskets and reinstall. Made a oil pump primer from a 318 intermediate shaft. Was told should have primed it first.

Couldn't find the gaskets at the parts store, so new oil pump. 55 pounds of pressure.
