Most accurate carb kit for 1968 2-barrel Carter?
Rock Auto? I haven't gone through mine in almost 10 years so it's time. Problem is, the autozone kit back then was not correct.....

After u shut the warm engine off, look down the carb with a flashlight to see if there is fuel dripping into the manifold. U can also remove the top of the carb and run the engine with the float bowl exposed to observe overflow and/or draining after shutdown. But, that's dangerous as hell. It could splash fuel onto the engine, or have a carb backfire. Have fire extinguishers handy and something non flammable to smother a fire.
Try Napa for a kit.

Something I found useful was eBay. After I took my carb apart and familiarized myself with the parts I noticed that on eBay a lot of the kits are opened to show the parts/gaskets making the identification of a kit easy.

I'm having an issue finding the model number of my carb in order to make sure I get the right kit.
I see 2300 right below the manufactured stamping. I do however, see 2090 on a separate part of the body so wondering if they may be the part number for each section?

Its sposed to be stamped on a metal tag held on by one of the float bowl screws. About the size of a postage stamp.

my 1968 has a 1970 318 engine in it from a D-200. The tag says 4824 and the Kit I got was from NAPA: Part Number CRB 25480A (I may still have the box?) The picture shows the NEW part on the left with the OLD part on the right. This looks like it has the same parts as the one on Ebay. I think you'll be fine with this kit. This page shows that all the 318 from 68 thru 71 Dodge Trucks use the same kit. Go to the LINK below and Search for this kit number: K4072

Looks just like the one I bought. Mine was in a GP Sorensen box p/n # 96-588. $10.00 bucks as I recall. Now mine was for a 71 with a plastic float bowl vent so the accelerator pump was a round rod instead of a flat rod.

Thank you to everyone! MadMC - I believe that is definitely it. $19.99 now.
In my haste, I ordered this kit after confirming with the Carb Doctor:
http://carbkitsource.com/kits/ck0071.html
$28.95
So, I paid some extra $ but at least I don't have to deal with the frustration @ Autozone.... seems odd that you have to go in to order it but you can see it online.... http://www.autozone.com/fuel-delivery/c ... 30_0_1382/
