The running gear in my 63 D300 is pretty tired... broken leafs, rusted frame crossmembers, cracked wheels, wheel cyls all toast, etc, etc, etc,...
I was thinking about taking the body off my 63 and putting it on the later model running gear, using my 313 and the newer 4spd.
the 63 poly/4spd is original.
would the later 4speed bolt up to the earlier bell housing on my poly? what about shaft length, and pilot bushing diameter?
I could find out when I take it all apart, but its always nice to know ahead of time.
a 5 speed would be a better solution, but theres the moolah factor involved.
