I was wondering if anybody knew if there is a diesel engine that can bolt up to an 1968 a100 van?

A100 van--> Diesel?
My old man Is in the works to put a Mercedes Benz 300d 5 cylinder diesel in one But he hasnt found a good body A100 yet to do it in. Everything here in Missouri or close by is rusted beyond belief. Of coarse there will be plenty of fabricating . You can make anything work its just the matter of making mounts to get it to sit in there right. And then the shift linkages will have to be fabed up also. There will be lots to do but for 30 miles to the gallon I think in the long run its plenty worth it.
