I have a 1969 A 108 van with a 225 six. I have what I think are the standard spark plugs ,champion N11Y. When it gets to normal operating temperature it pings like crazy. I think I need cooler plugs but I'm having trouble finding what plugs are available and how they compare to each other as regards heat range. I think the basic problem is the flawed design of the cooling system in these vans. Concerning that, any ideas as to what radiator to use and other tips for better cooling? Thanks for any advice.
