"73 Duster drivetrain for A100
Has anyone used Duster drivetrain parts for the A100? I have a chance to buy the engine(225), auto trans & rearend off a 1973 Duster. Will it fit my 1964 A100?

Rear end is useless. 7-1/4 most likely. You may need a driveshaft based on the tail stock length. engine should go in fine.

Transmission won't work without an A100 specific tailshaft housing.

What is the number for the short-tail auto transmission? I might buy just the trans.

The A100 transmission used a specific mount. It isn't the fact that it has a short tailshaft that means it will work. The 727 had both long and short tailshafts. See the other post where you asked.rhabneyA100 wrote:What is the number for the short-tail auto transmission? I might buy just the trans.
