A-100 worth $5k?

Hi, new to the board. I am looking at buying an A-100 for our brewery to deliver kegs locally. There is a '66 for sale in town and they are asking $5k for it. The guy said he just put $2.5k into it so he won't come down.

Details:
Orange and white, body is mostly straight, just needs a paint job (never garaged) and a few touch up on rust spots
Bumpers are a little tweaked but workable
One owner
225 slant 6
3 spd manual on the tree
engine #3, only 8,000 on it
runs and drives great

So is it worth it? I will try to get pics

A100's are sweet and do bring pretty good money these days. But without pics.................who knows?

Just to clarify, you are talking A-100 pickup or van? The trucks do bring high dollars, so if it runs and drives and is solid than it may well be worth that much or even more. If you're looking at a van they are not anywhere near as desirable and had better be pretty nice at that price.

Sawtooth, did you buy the A100 pickup? I know your original post is old but curious. I think $4-5 would be a good buy. Most restored are going for $6-8+. Post a pix.
