Re: 8 door window van
From what I know, VERY! I've only seen one in person my whole life. One popped up for sale locally the other day and I REALLY with I could bring it home. But I'd be sleeping in it, likely. Look on the other site, sweptline.com and there might be more info on it. I have not been over there in years, so I don't recall exactly.

Ok I seen your post of it in the f/s section. Did it come that way from the factory? New one on me!

Re: 8 door window van
I'm sure there would be interest. Post it up in the for sale section with some pictures.
Edit: Should have looked in the for sale section before saying that.

Re: 8 door window van
I also have an 8 door and can't find any info. anyone else know anything?
Re: 8 door window van
There is an A100 8 door within five miles of my house. It is just sitting an the guy said he told someone else "they could have it". I don't know if that meant free or they had first dibs on it, but either way, the van is still sitting there. When I talked to him he called it a sidewalk delivery or something to that effect. That way someone could parallel park on either side of the road and still have door access on either side. I need to ask him about it again.

we had one as our shop van 20 years ago. they were originally sears appliance delivery vans. doors on both sides was handy for unloading those old barge like fridges of the 60s in tight driveways and such. one guy on each side to manuever and you could pyull tha van up either way. no backing in. wish I still had it. it was a 318 3 on the tree and we addded 4 barrel and dual exhaust. it would get up and go!
Re: 8 door window van
There are multiple combinations of opening windows, fixed windows or no windows available.

How much are you wanting to get for the van, does it run/drive/stop? Trade possibly?

Re: 8 door window van
The 8 doors and the "no doors" (end doors only) are the rarest of the A-100's. I have no idea how many were made but I'm sure over the 7 year run of the A-van there were a bunch of them. However, much like the Sweptlines they were used for thier perpose and in most cases used up so to find an example of one, let alone a nice example is rare. Another rare one is what was called a "Display van", it was a panel van on one side (driver) and window van on the other. The phone company used most of these up.
Anther place to try to sell it would be http://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/. I don't think there should be a problem posting that here as the two sites are not in competition. There is also a lot of information on early vans of all kinds there.
