Friday I was at a local junkyard and I tried to remove the whole steeing column assembly from a '65 A100 van and was not successful. I got everything loose but it still wouldn't come out. If I had a service manual, that would have helped... but I don't. I disconnected all of the wiring, the hardware for the column bracket, and removed the band clamp down low at the bottom of the column tube. Do I need a puller to remove tghe steering shaft from the steering box? Will I need to dismantle the column piece by piece? Thanks for your help!!
