Differential Cover Gaskets for a 68 W200

Post by Hobcobble »

Anyone have part numbers for the Dana 44 & 60 diff. cover gaskets? I've
stumped the local parts store teenagers on this one. Their "book" went
back to '74 :study These are for my 68W200.

John,

As far as I know all year Dana cover gaskets should be the same. I think a Dana cover is a Dana cover for the indicated size. Anyway, I haven't used anything but silicone seal for years. In fact some of the newer ones come that way. No trouble until recently when I changed to synthetic lube. Got a bit of a seep in the trans PTO cover but not enough to reach the driveway. I don't like it anyway.
