Power Steering Pump Question ??? 1971 W200

I have a 1971 W200 that was a Fire Truck Brush Attack Unit that looks like a add on Power Steering unit was added. Please see pictures. I am wanting to clean up the Power Steering Reservoir and pump and paint them. Change the filter and fluid and replace the bad hoses going to and from them. My questions are:

1.) What is the name of this Power Steering system?
2.) What type of fluid does it use? ATF
3.) Is there a filter cartridge in the Power Steering.

The attachment Power Steering Reservoir 71 W200.JPG is no longer available

I have the same setup from a 71 D200. It is a Garrison system. Ive always ran generic power steering fluid. Not sure on the filter.

Generic Power steering fluid is what I will do. I plan on draining the system. Replacing a couple of the power steering hoses and filter. I am going to pull mine filter out and take to Napa and see if they can run down a filter.

Thanks for your help Powerman...

I have the same thing on my 69 W100. Just replaced the seal on the Eaton pump. The kit for a 63-64 Ford Fairlane works. I didn't figure that out until I had already replaced the seal. Rockauto sells a Gates kit that looks to have the correct seal and all the correct o-rings. Note, someone installed my, non-stock, set-up with SAE 45 degree fittings - something I didn't notice until I installed new hoses with JIC 37 degree fittings. Just something to watch out for, if you are changing hoses. I run "tractor fluid" in mine. I think they recommend ATF or 10w hyd fluid.

back then ATF was the standard. I find it doesn't leak as much as modern PS fluid. check manual
Garrison still build systems like that. maybe what they recommend would be best

Before I figured out the Ford Fairlane (early Mustang, Hudson, I think too) angle, my research took me to tractor PS set-ups for my pump (John Deere, Cat, Ford, and so on). All the tractor guys were using, no surprise I guess, tractor fluid. Don't think it is very high pressure, and don't think it matters too much.
