Thanks! Yes, 392 from a 1957 New Yorker that Bigfootsurfin built for me, 5 spd NV4500, Dana 70 rear, Dana 60 front, A/C, HD gauges, Adventurer seat, hydroboost, hydraulic clutch, power steering. :dance ... the truck was destined to have a 392... look at the first 3 digits of the license plates! The truck had those plates since new.

Hi John! I may be out in upstate NY this summer! If I make it out, I will look you up for sure!
my5thmopar: I do not know what SS, or BC/CC is...
The 392 , when found, had never been apart and was very low miles.

BC/CC is Base Coat/Clear Coat. I am not sure what SS is either... BUT, your truck looks really nice either way! My 68 was originally that same BLUE, but it was so ugly when I got it, that blue had deterred me from painting it blue again. Although now... sometimes I wish I did paint mine blue again when I see a beautiful paint job like yours. Oh well...my turquoise is nice too. Just have FUN! :salut

SS is Single stage. The clear is intergraded and if it is done correctly, spray and you're done. Used mainly for fleet vehicles and equipment. It can be cut and buffed but, if you try to sand it, you have to have at least 4 coats. I think SS it the best old school look like old lacquer.

BC/CC like Jim said is base coat with clear coat. 2 coats of base and 2 or more clear then it is cut and buffed. All modern paint

Geez... I knew what Single Stage is, but didn't connect the dots on abbreviations on that one!

Wow very nice! I too would love to see that engine in place if you don't mind taking a few pics!
I like the POWER WAGON on the hood side . They never should have changed from that location.
