"add a leaf" W200 1967

Post by Abody70 »

I bought a 1966 D200 about a year ago and I love it!! But I've been looking for a 4X4, got lucky and found a complete chassis for a 1967 W200 and have agreed to purchase it. While I do the conversion id like to do what's necessary to clear a 35" tire. I'm trying to do this conversion as cheap as possible and was thinking of using "add A leaf" for the front that I found on rockauto. Has anybody done this ??? Will 35"s clear with no cutting ??

66 W series with stock style spring for that year sit quite high and will probably clear a 35 no problem. If needed to keep cost down have front and rear springs re arched. :thinking
