Wheel cylinder for front axle

Post by tguinn »

I have a 1967 D100, converted to a W200 with what appears to be 1971-1972 Dana 44 axle in the front. I need wheel cylinders, everything I find is made for a round hole in the backing plate, but my backing plates have a football shaped hole. The casting number is ; Bendix 2227391-L & 2227391-R on the cylinders .
Anybody have any idea's? Tim

Pic of offending part. I used to have a 71 W200 and most if not all the brake parts were the same as my 66 W100 I still have.
My truck is younger than me.

Those part numbers are available NOS $45 from Collectors Supply. The catalog shows them to be a 1960-68 part number though?

Powerwagon54 was kind enough to provide this for me; all the books that I looked in showed 60-68 dodge trucks as all the same, and looking by the axles (71-72) didn't help either. Turns out the Raybestos number is WC36050 (left) WC36061(right), and O Reilly brake best #'s WC40416 and Wc40417. Tim

Just put O'Reilly brakebest WC24954, WC24955 on my 70 W100 with dana 44 on today. Frist got brakebest WC40951 and WC40952, fit the backing plate but my brake line was to big for cyl. $15.04 for 54 and $13.52 for 55.
