Yes, that is wonderful, but we must 'weigh' the pros and cons - such as ultimate costs. Someone out there will have parts I need - either as a package OR separately. I just have to 'sniff' them out. :clap

I am now aware of a 'few' B.C. listed clutch rebuilders, but I do not believe they can restore beat-up old pieces to as good as new condition - - for a competitive price. I would rather get new Mexican parts than take a chance with old, tired, heat and stress affected components. :thinking
The cheapest I've seen for (new) clutch kit is $132. (U.S.) - then to factor-in shipping, taxes and $-exchange, even if total price doubles -- it is still 'cheap'.
I noticed on http://www.partsmonkey.com site there is option for shoppers in U.S. I 'clicked' on link and noticed that the $208. (fine-spline) clutch kits - like the ones I ordered and returned - are listed for $108. U.S. - plus whatever shipping. I don't think anyone can beat that price.
At this point in time I leave all my options open. If I have to order fine-spline kit and then find course disc somewhere else, I may just do that.

Well it took me long enough to get simple answer so now I won't amuse you fine Sweptline members and go back to Allpar. They are at least as knowledgeable but not so 'flippant'. I will spare you any future pain

Oh, and special 'tip of the hat' to Powerwagon54 - aka Bud Thorpe. You are truly a knowledgeable gentleman. It has been a total pleasure dealing with you. :salut

Bud is a great guy.

The problem with this thread is that people have been where you are before. They've also made the same mistakes. You are reinventing the wheel by trying to save $20. Maybe it will work out and maybe it won't. You also are quick to get "loud" with people while asking for help at the same time. Read the title of this thread to see what I am talking about.

Some things you have to learn are worth paying for. It is up to you to stick around but you won't find the same amount of people that know this era of truck in 1 location.

:salut
