transfer case removal

Post by allsupj »

I know the FSM says to remove the 4 large bolts to remove the transfer case from the crossmember. But, does anybody know if the crossmember can be unbolted with the transfer case attached and be lowered that way? It looks like it would be a very close fit. Has anybody done it this way? Thanks,

Yes,it is easier to unbolt the crossmember and remove it with the tc. :Thumbsup
I sold all of my sweptline trucks, except the invisible one. I just couldn't stand to see it go!

I find the FSM method the easiest. easy access to bolts.
