1968 W200 CrewCab Restoration Part 3

Post by spesce »

All the metal work is complete and the paint is going on. :Thumbsup The frame is being coated with POR15 and the engine is being painted back to Dodge Blue. The interior floorboards are being treated with a Rhino Liner type material as well as the Bed. Still undecided on running the Rhino Liner up and over the bed top rail or not.

Can't wait to be able to drive her. Probably 2 months out, but in the northwest that means beginning of spring!

Enjoy :dance

Stock 318. The whole truck is stock with exception of the paint and the W300 front bumper. The 4.88 running gear is also stock. 38" tires will fit, but will see if there might be a need to lift 1"-2" once I get it home to my shop.

I run the 4.88 gear in my '68W200. Nice for pulling things around
the property but for road speeds over 50mph, its a bit too low
of a ratio. :pale

Great looking Crew Cab! As Shawn pointed out.... the stock color for your
LA318 would be Chrysler Industrial Red. :Thumbsup

Thank for the input on engine color being Red not blue.....

I am with you on the gearing. Hopefully the 38's will help with the driving up to 60mph.....with hearing protection. We'll see. Might put newer running gear in the truck at a later time, but trying to not hack the truck completely yet.
