w-100 drag link removal

How do I get the drag link off the pitman and or steering arm? I have removed nuts but A special tool? Beating?

The pickle fork will work if not concerned about reusing the tie rod ends. The tool will tear the grease seal.

For me its careful and proper use with application to the specific area using the BFH. That's all I ever used in the auto wrecker. And I also used Keith, My long Snap on pry bar under certain spots to aid my BFH. :thinking :lol:

Leave the castellated nut on the tie rod end loose if you don't pickle fork it and just use a hammer, so you don't bugger up the threads if you go that route. And when you put them back on use some Never-Seize on the tie rod shaft and it'll make easier the next time you need to take them apart and a use a new cotter pin. Any car parts store should have new grease seals.

That.s the only one I named Keith. Keith was the guy that had worked at the wrecker with us and one day basically told us all to go F off. I found it sitting on the last vehicle he processed after he left. That's why I call it Keith. :lol:
