MU2 Hydraulic conversion

Post by hoon »

Has anyone done it? If so what hydro motor was used? Anyone know the pto input torque for a max pull? I just picked up a winch for $30 and figured it would be worth while to use it on my 85 ram.

MU2, that's off of a Dodge M37? If so and you got brackets as well that's a steal.

You should ask over at: http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/wwwboard/index.html or http://www.g741.org/PHPBB/index.php
Paul in NY has likly done this for his diesel Powered M37, and I'm sure others have as well.
Thanks,
Will

I'm sure someone has done it, just a matter finding them. I think I'll use the same motor that's spec'd for my Ramsey H200 if I can't find any other info. The clutch fork and lever assembly is missing, but looks complete otherwise. I'll tear it apart tomorrow for inspection and a rebuild.

Found the parts list over on t137.com. I'm missing the cable guides, but have the angle brackets. Thanks for the links

I tore it apart yesterday and the gears are junk. There wasn't any oil or grease in it. I suppose I got what I payed for.
