65 factory winch

Post by allsupj »

I just picked up a factory winch setup for my 65 w200. I got the frame extensions, pto, shafts, bearings, winch and PTO control cable. Does anyone have pictures of where the control cable mounts in the dash and where it penetrates the firewall. Thanks, Jon

The PTO cables I had went through the floorboard. Are you referring to a throttle control cable possibly?

No, I am sure it is the PTO cable. And it is long enough to go from the transfer case, which it was attached to when I got it, througt the firewall and to the dash. I would love to find a factory locking throttle cable. I seem to remember seeing a photo of one that was mounted in the dash below and to the left of the steering wheel.

The PTO control cable on my W300 in mounted on the dash, passes along the inside of the fire wall and then travels through a relief in the transmission/transfercase access panel under the truck to the PTO. It is the T-handle in the lower portion of the dash.
