steering gear interchange

does anyone know if a steering gear out of a 73 3/4 truck fit a 39 W200? don't want to buy it, and have it not fit my truck. thanks, Ozzie.

If its a 1939 or 1969 it won't fit.

yes John it goes back to 39.

And no they wont fit. At least not without a heat wrench.

thanks, guys. I guess the next time I post I will preview it first. oh and yes I have a 69, not a 39 W200. in fact I have had it since 1974, which is 40 years. Ozzie

things are good these days. just retired after 21 years at sams club, and the wife has kept me real busy catching up on all the things I have neglected. kinda makes me want to go back to work, wait a minute that was a stupid thought. I really hope to work on my truck more. Ozzie.

I can tell you what is involved to put a 77 W series box into a 66 W 100.
