I believethat you can use a chevy 1/2 ton tuck drag link in place of the stock dodge. You will need both ends and the sleeve. You may have to use a tapered reamer to make it fit.

1973-87 Suburban is about as close as you'll find. A couple Internationals used the same part as the Dodge, happy hunting.

Whoops.... sounds like you's guys are talking tie
rod.... I'm in need of the steering arm-to-knuckle
"drag" link. Rare Parts lists them but they're real
spendy. You might try them for the tie rod too. Also,
try http://www.kanter.com for the tie rod.

I've got a line on one for $95.. so yeah, a little spendy, but available at NAPA. I'm just hoping it is the right part.
Thanks, Clint

Hey Clint.... Rare Parts wants $468 for the W200
drag link.... maybe wholesaler's pricing would drop
$120 off of that.... I dream of a $95 link :banghead

Hobcobble, you talking the pitman arm to knuckle linkage? About 18 inches long? You can get the parts from Spedway Motors to make one pretty cheap.

I got one for my 70 D300 from Rare parts a year and a half ago for $83.46 shipped to my house. At that time I got a quote for a P.S. drag link from Straight Line Steering and it was only $300.00

Has the W200 link become that rare?

Has Rare Parts become a bunch of @#% hats or what?

I'm going out right now and grease my W200.

Later.....Don

Don,
Thanks for the lead man! :Thumbsup .... I've been
hoping one of the 4WD guys on this site would lend
a hand with a part number or source. Ricky over at
Norm's site got me onto Rare Parts but they're a
bit too "proud" of their sh*t.... I'll let you know
what your source gives me. :salut Someone was trying
to produce a MOOG part number but I never heard any more on it so I'm assuming they don't make them anymore. I
didn't see anything of the like on their web site.

OK Don... I talked with their tech dept. and the drag
link would run $209. I need to supply them with the
center-to-center dimension AND straight bore the
steering & knuckle arm holes as their links have
straight shanks. If or when I pursue it further, I'll
update this information.

I used one of the short tie rods ( there are 2 ) from a 80 2wd ramcharger.

John,

I've looked in my MOOG books, and they don't list it anymore. I had a part number in my OLD moog book, but someone threw it away. :banghead I think you can use a Chevrolet adjustable unit, but not 100% sure.

Jimmy check and see if the drag link from a 72 and up Power Wagon would fit the 4bys and the 2wds. The other option is the Chevy drag link that consists of 2 tie rods and an adjustment sleeve. Again a tapered drill bit may need tobe used but this should work for both the 4x4 and 2wd trucks. I'm going that route on Big John with my steering conversion.

Why waste hundreds of dollars replacing old tie rod and drag link ends when you could upgrage to power steering with heim joints and have a MUCH better setup at little extra cost?
