Someone made a pretty cool
ATV out of a short Utiline. I see
parts from at least a couple
different years. I'm not sure
about the drive train.... W500
or something military [GMC, Kaiser ]....
Boons & Seff..... you're starstruck....
Snap out of it!

So. Much. Want.
Definitely not factory. The axles look like WWII GM Faceloaders, but they had 6 bolt rims, no the 10 pictured.
If I could make my crew look like that, I would just sit and stare at it all day. I love old school offroad stuff.

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
There were some 10 lugs W500 axles made, very rare. But that rear axle doesnt look familiar at all. In fact it looks like it has fewer lugs. And yes some WWII GM's used split case axles like that front.
cool

The axles look like Timkens but that is just a guess.

I agree. I think Timken become part of Rockwell Standard.soopernaut wrote:The axles look like Timkens but that is just a guess.

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
Rockwell did buy the Timken axles. My '64 W500 has a Rockwell-Timken axle like in that truck, but it's a 6 lug axle.

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
Yes all the ones I have seen were 6 lug.... But on other sites there are at least two W500's that had 10 lug axles. Not sure if still Timken/Rockwell or who, but 10 lug W500 DO exist.WAWII wrote:Rockwell did buy the Timken axles. My '64 W500 has a Rockwell-Timken axle like in that truck, but it's a 6 lug axle.

Gastruk,
How did you find that brochure? Those Terra Tire Power Wagons (Swamp Fox) are by far my favorite Power Wagons. I talked to a guy a while back that found 'one of the 8' 1963 W300 Swamp Fox trucks and is currently restoring it. I really wish he would sell it. Don't have any pics though
