You and me both!!!Seff wrote: makes me wnat one :D
My first thought when going over the pictures is that it looks like something the US government would build to go out in the sand with,... like in north Africa. As for powerplant, I'd guess a 413 to turn those big tires.

I was thinking of a Cummings. Just that thought makes me want to have one!OregonDodgeboy wrote:You and me both!!!Seff wrote: makes me wnat one :D

Cummins not "Cummings" and cummins were not introduced to dodge till 1989.Seff wrote:I was thinking of a Cummings. Just that thought makes me want to have one!OregonDodgeboy wrote:You and me both!!!Seff wrote: makes me wnat one :D

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
I know that boons, im getting a 89 w250 with a Cummins, sorry for the spelling, my computer corrects my spelling automatically. But I think it would be epic to throw a bug Cummins or maybe a cat engine into it :P what you think?

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
I think the medium & heavy duty trucks used all sorts of engines; Cummins, International Harvestor
Don Bunn had a book about Dodge big rigs.
Not sure about light duty trucks.

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
The International engines used were gasoline V-8's displacing 478 & 549 cubic inches. Cummins Diesels used were NH230, NHC250, NTC280, NTC335, V8-210 & V903, but not in light duty trucks.

Re: Power Wagon 4x4 Factory
Diesel engines were provided by Cummins for installation into heavy duty LCF trucks. Both inline and V-type engines were available. 1963 marked the first year for the Cummins V6 engines and were just one of the many available engines for these trucks. http://www.sweptline.com/hist/bigtrucks.htmlBoons wrote:Any proof on that?

From 1972 Heavy Duty brochure http://olddodges.com/index1.htm
You might have to change the size to read the last page. I didn't have a way to save it so I had to use the original size.
