Was wondering if anybody has pictures of extremely lifted powerwagons?? I have 12 inch springs on mine and was curious to see how they did the rear axle spring mounts, I have 44x18x16.1 tires and wheels to mount, anything like that on this site?????

These are the tallest sweptlines I've seen, besides old school monster trucks... lets see some pics of your project

Here's the only picture I have of mine. It isn't that tall, compared to some of the other pictures.
As far as the rear suspension, I plan on doing front drop brackets, and a rear shackle flip. The goal is to match the front with no blocks.

Skyjacker has an 8" suspension lift system I think, not sure if they go back past 1972.

What are the dimensions on 61-71 stock W-series springs?

I think you're full of it Crusty. Just for reference, those are 37" HumVee tires everyone. That crew is standing nice and tall. :Thumbsup I don't recall what you said the height of the rockers were, but IIRC, your truck was nearly a foot taller than my stocker. Probably about as high as you would want to go if you really used your truck. Any higher and it's impractical to haul or tow, and a little top heavy for wheeling in anything other than a mud pit. :2cents

Seff, I think that if you are interested in how to get 8" of lift, go read through Crusty's thread in the power wagon section. I believe his front shackle reversal is in there. :study

PS: I really wish there were other angles of that white 71 on boggers. :Thumbsup

Aww you guys are going to make me blush  I gotta say, it is nice to know that people like what I am doing. Anyway, here's some measurements from my truck. The bottom of the frame to the axle tube is about 15.5" and the front spring eye is mounted 6" below the frame. Also, the rear shackles measure 6" from eye to eye.
This might be about 8" over stock???

The reason I redid all this was that the bent up factory crossmember seemed flimsy, and I wanted to do crossover steering. I figured that doing a shackle reversal at this time would be good as well. My crossmember is 3" 0.25" wall and the side mounts are 3" channel. Hope this helps anybody who is looking to do something similar.

I recently bought a 6 inch lift kit from skyjacker, for my 63 crew PW. there were a few set backs with the install but for the most part wasn't to bad.
