70f has a special type of "u-joint" in it. They are not the same as the standard ujoint used in 44s and 60s.

I was surfing on some 4x4 sites and there saying that
there is closed knuckle Dana-70 with u-joints that is Dana 44 sized.

http://mav.wastegate.net/tech/dana60-70.html

Just wondering how to check that in the eaysiest way.
Or maby it never existed in 1968.
(dont know so much about Dana-70 front axles)

this is only on the 2 I haave looked into
There is a tracta-joint I belive they called it
not a u-joint by any means. I can only refer to a rubits cube
for a comparison

International had U-joints in their Dana 70s

I belive the trunion bearings were the same in some of the 44s or 60s
as the ones in the 70's

Have only broken one axel in 25 years on a Dana 70f.
have had one rebuilt twice (runion bearings and seals)
but that was with over 290,000 miles
