Just picked up this truck, came with 318-1(still has oil bath), d44, np435, np205, d60 rear (4.88). Have not opened the pumpkins yet but saw something interesting on the door tag says T C LOCK.

Might that be an option for both front and rear limited slips, can't find into to decode the equip part of the door tag

Throttle control lock.

It allows you to set the rpms and then lock it. The engine will stay at that rpm until you unlock it.

Does it have the number NT3011 next to it?

If your truck does not have this there might be a few other possibilities.

powr-lok and trac-lok were not offered in the 44f axle that had 4.88 gears, but it was in the 60 rear from 69 1/2 - 72.Look for 603016-5 or 603016-10 B.O.M. #s on the rear right axle tube.

sorry to interrupt here, but i have a 73 PW and i was wondering how do i check to see if it has limited slip. cuz my step-dad was throwing dirt in the air on the right side and the left side was not moving. so if someone could explain that would be nice.

That means you either have an open carrier or the LS clutches are toast.
Pull the cover to verify.

So does your truck have a throttle control lock or should I start listing other possibilities. There was a 70 W200 on ebay recently that had the same T/C Lock on the VIN plate and that truck did have the throttle control lock so that is why I made that conclusion.
