Chelsea PTO unit ID

Post by Lowdown »

Hi everybody, my name is Andy Statland. I'm from Maryland and am pulling together parts to bring my '68 W200 crew back to life.
I found this trans loclly with attached PTO unit. The owner states it's a trans originally behind a 351 in, a 79 F350 Ford dump truck which makes me think it's an NP435.
I'm hoping the PTO will the fit NP435 in my truck.

I called Chelsea and spoke with Dan. He told me the AICFNW-2-0 part number cross references to a newer part number: 100 X R BZ X - W4XA
According to Chelsea's site (http://www.parker.com/literature/Chelse ... -M1_US.pdf)
It's a 100 series (100), standard mounting (X), 1:00 - 1 ratio(R), BZ input gear (not sure about this one), no lubrication option (X), cable shifted (W), assembly arrangement 4 (4), and 0.875 diameter round output shaft.

This trans turned out to be a T18 and according to Dan @ Chelsea, the PTO isn't compatible with the NP435.
