Motor swap. PTO front shaft ?

Post by CMR70D3 »

Hi,
Wanting to swap from a 318 to a 383 in my 70' w100 with winch. So my question is will the front PTO shaft still fit with the 383, Also will I be able to put headers on or not?

Thanks,
Chris

Mine does on my '67 W and I have headers but they required modification to fit on mine because of the hydraulic clutch with the cross member at the bell housing. However, my winch was not a factory install because the winches were all going to the Military at that time. :pale :pale :banghead :banghead
