rear shackle flip

Post by digdoug »

I have been considering doing a rear shackle flip. Can anybody give me some input? Pictures would be nice too!

Thanks
Doug

If you wait several months, I will have mine (probably) done. What can I say, I work slow.

For mine, I am using cummins rear leaves, the cummins front hanger, and the stock 68 front hanger in the rear of the pack for the flip. I also may extend one of the pairs of shackles depending on how high it sits.
What a mess.

I have done that already, heck, maybe 12 years ago. Cheap lift, but it messed my pinion angle up some, so I eat u joints once in a while. I also used 4 inch blocks, maybe if I didnt do the blocks it would be all right, but it sure was a cheap lift.
Cut the rivets off, flip the shackle around, and the mount and drill new holes, bolt it on. done.
