I need 16.5's , not 16's or 15's.........I looked at that.
Not cheaper either new at the tire stores here or shipped from Summit.
From Summit:
Wheel, AR-767, Steel, Black, 16 in. x 8 in., 8 x 6.5 in. Bolt Circle, 5 in. Backspace, Each $87.95+ shipping, and not available in 16.5's
Cheapest wheel here was a 16x8 for $59+tax, then my 16.5 tire are useless. Not easy to find "new" 16.5 rims anymore. Everyone is going 16".

4-wheel Parts sells 16.5x8.28" wheels in the white rock crawler series 82 for $75.

Part number: PCW82-65881

http://www.4wheelparts.com/PDT63612.aspx

USA6x6 in Lawton, OK sells the 36x12.5 Bias Plys for like $75 apiece, IIRC.

These tires are surplus. You have to buy them in a lot or know someone that has bought a lot. I can do either, but these that I bought came from a freind that bought a whole lot. I could not use 50 tires

Well, $53 from summit.... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku Yeah, they're white, but I just paint my wheels whith engine paint anyways. I think there's like just a $10 dollar fee on all summit orders, shipping is "free". 16.5s are actually getting easier to find BECAUSE of the humvee tires. They now make them in 5 on 5.5 and 6 on 5.5, they never did that before.

Summit charged me a flat fee of $10 on the wheels I ordered this past
Friday for my '92 W250. I went with the US Wheel Model 94's. For tires, I
think I'll go with the Toyo Open Country M/T or the General Grabber AT
in a 285/75/16 [E load range]. With center caps and chrome acorn lug
nuts, each wheel ran about $88. I chose to stay with a 16" wheel because
there are more tire choices than with a 16.5"

Here's some pics of my '68 W-200. I still have the H-1's on the back and wagon wheels on the front. I wish I could find 2-3 more wagon wheels so i could put them on the back. If i could i would get rid of my H-1 rims, i have 6 of them total I think.
On the front with the H-1's the RIMS were actually rubbing. And the guy that i bought it from had to cut a little bit of the corners off of the front of the fenders.
Where are you finding the military tires at? Im going to need a set later.
Oh and as far as grip, man it goes through mud like it aint nothing! Very happy with these tires, haven't got it stuck yet. been through some terrible stuff too. You can ask Cowboy about this truck, it performs really well with these tires on it.

John , are you sure the general grabber at's are available ? I have been told that have been on back order since july 07 and wont be available till july 08. I sure would like to put a set on my W100 using the original 16" rallye wheels from my 2000 2500 ram.

Well.... Toyo proved to be a bit above my budget and, as you said, the General Grabber AT's
are in limited supply for smaller sizes only. I went with a Hercules Terra Trac A/W LT285/75/16.
The shop that sold them to me sells a lot of them to the local snow plow guys. Its a good tire
for on & off road.... they're a D load range tire. They should work fine. They were a bit more
than the Generals [about $23 more...]. For your W100, make sure those rallye wheels have a
large enough center to go over your hub :Thumbsup The '94 & later wheels are different in
the center.

Funny, I actually like my H1s on my ford. I balanced them with a 4 fl oz cup of lead shot in each tire. When I get a chance, I will take pics of them and a H1 37 I have for tire fitment reference.
What a mess.

Well, here's the pics. The only thing is that I didn't pull the bias goodyear off my ford because I was lazy. Instead, these are a 37" goodyear and a 35" general, both on 16.5x9.75 rims. The generals/alcoas will go on the dodge once it is done. The 37s look like the will tag the fenders on both ends turning, but the 35s will barely clear.

So I am correct to understand that with a W200 I will need to lift the truck to fit the H1 bias tires?

You will have to use a lift kit though. I have a set of Hummer 36" tires on my 77, M882 pickup. There is no lift kit on this 4x4 and they just barely clear the fenders. Here is a photo.
