Dana 44 front axle
Dana 44 front axle
Hi guys, do you know if all the D44 front axle C ends are the same between Chev and Dodge? The reason I ask is that I am currently running a front axle from a Chev and have found one from a Dodge that I think will solve my spring pad, pinion angle and caster problems that the Chev axle presents. The problem is that the axle from the Dodge is 8 lug, drum brakes and the Chev axle I am currently running is disc brake, 8 lug and I would like to convert the Dodge drum to disc using my existing parts. Thanks!

Come on you guys, you are my heros! someone must know something about these axles ie: going from drum to disc and if the C-ends are the same dimensions between Chebby and Mopar.
I wish I could help out but I've never owned a
Dodge W series truck with a ch*vy axle. Perhaps
your local Dodge [or ch*vy ] dealer or a
good parts counter person could compare specs.
for you

PS.... if you decide to go to the Dodge dealer...
tell the counter guy that your truck was DOWN-GRADED
