1969 w100 steering angle adjustment

What’s everyone using to adjust steering angle after installing installing a lift? I have the factory closed knuckle Dana 44 and since it’s a dodge..... no one seems to sell a high steer kit or anything. It’s a 4 inch lift and I haven’t found anything available other than building my own parts. Advice?

Are you referring to a modified drag link, the steering arm, or a combination of both?

Look at a GM style adjustable drag link. Might be a GM style adjustable for a lift available. I use a GM one on my 66 W100 with PS Conversion. You will have to enlarge tapered holes on the stock Dodge Pitman and arm on knuckle.

The tapers might be different, but reaming out the steering and pitman arms isn't an expensive operation. I may have a similar need on the Dana 60 I tore down today. BTW, I was trying to get the rotors off a pair of GM dual rear wheel hubs and had no luck at all breaking those bolts loose. How can I tell if they were put on with Loctite and are therefore in need of heat?

I would like to do a 4 inch lift myself.

Getting RCVR axles is easy just a phone call away to order so I can run 35" without fear of breaking the axles But as Posted Steering angles remains the main issue. I already purchased my 35"s they wait in in the shop in a corner.

I want to install Power steering at same time which is an issue that should be tackled all at the same time I think.

I had https://www.wfoconcepts.com/i-30505029- ... reads.html make the tie rod and drag link. IIRC, I did have to ream both holes for the new drag link

my 71w has a very similar steering set up as what is seen on the 72' dodge truck w models. while the frame is straighter, the 72 were arched, and still had the cast iron box bracket. my 71 has a part of angle welded to the top of the frame so the top bracket bolt gives bracket with box at that angle you see on the 72 w models. its a power steering unit that im replacing with a new manual, for now.
