Late 65 w 200.
Factory LU-2 winch.
Updates: 205 transfer case,4.10 gears, disc brake Dana 60 front with lock out hubs
440 repower in the works

60 d100
383 with 727
4 wheel disc
3.73 geared rear

I just pulled the cover off the Dana 60 rear I got, inside I found a Detroit locker with 4:10 gears. Does anyone have experience with these?
Late 65 w 200.
Factory LU-2 winch.
Updates: 205 transfer case,4.10 gears, disc brake Dana 60 front with lock out hubs
440 repower in the works

nothing on it today but made a dolly to roll the cab around last week ,and cut the glass out of it
engine is on the stand getting painted ,pulled the timing cover on it this week ordered a new chain

Are you sure its that and not a factory unit?
If its factory, they call it "traction control", its limited slip and is detailed in the FSM. Had one in a 70 W200.

As best as I can tell it’s from a 68 w100 with a 383.
It’s hard to give more info. I got the truck from the guy’s son. He must have really liked that truck. His son said it was it’s second cab and it’s third motor.
Is there a definitive way to tell what I have here?

Is posting the problem, or resizing it to get it under the limit?
Also, the link I posted above has details on how to percisely identify the axle.

I can attach any pic I want but then it says file too large. It is not the same as the carrier on that sight. Those carriers do have clutches.
It looks just like the Detroit lockers Eaton still sells. The only exception being that the bolts that hold the 2 parts of the carrier together are wired I assume to prevent the bolts from loosening.
The pics I found were on Eaton’s web site.

Looks like a fish, smells like a fish, must be a fish!
For pics, they simply have to be reduced in size to be under 256 KB. There are many ways to do that. A common way is using the "paint" app.

i need to post some pics ...but most of my stuff is on my desk top and i play here on my lappy chrome book
so put new timing gears in the 225 (its a 198 but i'm not telling ) came in the truck was running on 5
had a 66 parts truck so i pulled the head sent it to the machine shop for a rebuild with harden seats
so one of the guy here needed my oil pan a few months ago pulled the engine only to find a bent push rod
engine looked like it had been rebuilt some time ago,pulled the head cleaned everything
exhaust mani was cracked ...65 had a good one had it shaved ..head is on,manifold on
time to replace front seal and vib damper ....pulled the cover and thought the chain had a lot of slap
got new one on today and not much tighter (but for the $34 why not replace it)
so next week i'll install the cover/new water pump paint the front then roll it over and pan/paint done

I wasn’t trying to identify the carrier. I was looking to pick the brain of people that have had experience with this type.

I have a to-do list, Fix a couple oil leaks, but no done list.
