I found a 1968 D200 with lots of options and was trying to see how rare it might be?
383 Automatic on dash
Factory Air
Factory power steering assist
Adventurer package?
Original bucket seats
Camper Special
Thanks, trying to make a decision on purchasing. Seems to be low miles and pretty much original and very clean.
Thanks,
Weylin Johnson

Re: How many D200’s had all these options
All of what you’ve mentioned depends on price. There is always room in my fleet for a big block truck, especially if it comes with a clutch pedal!

Re: How many D200’s had all these options
There was no factory air in 68. Factory air started in 69. All autos were on the dash before 69 so that is not an "option". Does it have "Adventurer" emblems on the sides of the bed near the marker reflectors and on the glove box door?Weylinjohnson wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 4:22 pmI found a 1968 D200 with lots of options and was trying to see how rare it might be?

Re: How many D200’s had all these options
It was an option first shown in the 68 brochure. Ben Simons mentioned it might be an earlier option. The Canadian brochure does mention that it is special equipment, but I don't recall seeing that in the US brochure. I'd have to look again. It is not in the parts book.PwrWgnDrvr wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 9:02 pmThere was no factory air in 68. There probably weren't too many trucks equipped like that and even fewer left today. There are no production numbers that break down options like that.

Yes it appears to have all the correct adventurer badges and also the ac unit looks like one in brochure. The 68 brochure I’m looking at shows ac as optional equipment. I would post pics but can’t seem to from phone. If anyone knows how to do it let me know. Thanks!

I did look at the 68 brochure I have and it also notes that A/C was special equipment. Special equipment and optional equipment are not quite the same thing.Weylinjohnson wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 7:38 amThe 68 brochure I’m looking at shows ac as optional equipment.
