Vin Tag and equipment question?
So i have a 1971 d300 im parting out but i noticed it has some markings on the vin tag that made me curious. The vin is- D31BE1S352229. Below that it has in the sert and equipment list as follows HH1D44 OIL FILTR and then it has NT3011 T/C LOCK. So what are the special equipment? Im sure on of you out in swepty land knows what it means.
Im old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyway.

T/C LOCK is probably Traction Control, which is what they called the limited slip rear axle in 200 and larger axles. The dana 70 rear axle with limited slip is a rare and highly valuable piece. I had one once in a W300 and traded it for something 20 yrs ago.RAYMAN wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 4:58 pmSo i have a 1971 d300 im parting out but i noticed it has some markings on the vin tag that made me curious. NT3011 is a tire carrier lock and is a common SERT on these trucks.
HH1D44 should have a number where the D is located. The oil filter SERT is uncommon and I've only come across it once on a 1971 C800.

Does this D300 happen to have the 9ft Utiline bed? Those are, or at least were, worth gold at one time.RAYMAN wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 4:58 pmSo i have a 1971 d300 im parting out but i noticed it has some markings on the vin tag that made me curious. If it does have a 9' bed and it has dually bed fenders, I want to buy them. :-)

unfortunately this truck has a factory style stake bed. Trust me if it had the dually fenders i would never sell them.
