new to forum but old to dodges!

Post by Johneickhof »

well, I am located in s. central Idaho my first vehicle was a 1967 W200 my dad bought new! I recently gifted it to my nephew in California, it's a family heirloom! it's been a long time for me to get around to joining this site! I'm an old hand to dodges, have had dozens through the years! currently have a 1952 B-3-PW (I've had for 45 years) , 1952 M-37, a 65 W300 flat bed (for sale), a 67 W300 utiline (need a tailgate for it) a 1968 Fargo sweptside w200 ( being restored) and a 71 W100 sweptside SWB pickup (for sale). and a 1971 D300 with Holmes 440 wrecker bed, plus tons of parts! I'm looking for a FTD-7 pto, frame ext, and drivelines for the Fargo so I can mount a LU winch on it, anyway hope to be active and I have seen some familiar names here! Happy holidays!

Been waiting 17 yrs for you to join up here John! :welcome

Don't remember if you were ever also on Norm's old site. It's pretty quiet there these days. This one absorbed Kris's old site back in 2005.

Welcome to the site, John. :salut :Thumbsup :usa :welcome
Activity on the site has died down a bit over the past few years
but there's a group of us still around that were members of Kris's
site. New members still trickle in.... which is good. :clap

I wasn't aware you could get a short wheel base in anything but a half-ton chassis (100 series)

I have that pto sitting in my shed. I pulled it off my truck when I switched to a 205 transfer case.
I wonder if shipping is any where close to affordable. I’m in upstate NY.

Was this truck a special order, a crew cab or something pieced together with parts from different trucks?

I do know of a 65 D100 short bed that came from the factory with 8 lug axles and has the SERT numbers to prove it.

From '61 through '68, the 114" wheelbase W100s came with 3/4 ton 8 lug
200 Series axles. :study :2cents :Thumbsup

But didnt W100 trucks from 69 to 71 come in both long and short box. 61 to 68 W100 4x4 were only available as short box trucks. :thinking :thinking

He originally wrote that it was a 71 W200 SWB. It has since been edited. 1969-71 W100s did have 2 wheelbases available.
