S.O. number is possible ship date?

I got the IBM punch card from Chrysler for my 61 Pioneer, listed is the "Sales Order" number, according to some posts decoding them I found on the Forward Look forums there are a number of people who say the first four digits are the ship date or build date something like that.

I Just looked at the SO number on my Pioneer (09275036) and sure enough looking at the bottom of the IBM car ship date is 09/27

Mine is 11202340, so shipped on November 20th, 1964? I have an early 65 (four headlight) so this would definitely fit the general timeline of it being built.

I didn't see any info on this and for all I know it may not apply to trucks, figured id post this incase it help someone!

mine was built in July 64 and scheduled for July 10 according to the build sheet.

my dad took delivery of it at the factory in August of 64.

the SO Number on mine is 10604004.

i have collected the the SO info on every CSS or HP truck in the registry and nothing makes sense and i have yet to see a duplicate number.
