LU 2 winch.

I’m not sure what category winches fall into so I’m asking here first.
I have an LU 2 winch on my truck and I am curious to know what size cable is it supposed to have on it.
Can I put other sizes on it?
With a 7/16 cable, how many feet do I need to fill the spool?

I think mine had about 50-60ft of 1/2", but that was a long time ago. I know the length was at least 50.

As memory serves(not as well as it used to) mine is 60 something. But the spool isn’t near full.
I have replacement cable in various lengths just trying to find the one I won’t be cutting much off of after winding it on.

I think with 7/16" it might hold 75ft if properly spooled

After I finish the floor and get it out I will let you know how much fits on it. I scored about 600 feet of lightly used cable for free.

or alot more of 3/8"! i used to run 3/8 on my Mu2 300 feet. so nice to have the extra. the LU2 wouldprobably hold 225' of 3/8"
