Dodge STS sport truck series

Post by DraytonCalhoun »

This was an option in 67 or 68. Mostly trim BUT was available with engine selection 225-426 Hemi. I remember seeing an article on it, but cannot find it. Some of the options included were Monoco bucket seats and Dart GTS console. I saw this article 16-17 years ago. I was just wondering if anyone else remembers it. It was either STS or SST.

You're close, but no cigar.
It was the CSS.

The CSS pkg was TRIM ONLY. It had nothing to do with engine or drive train.
The 426 wedge was only available in a limited production pkg, marketed as HPP - High Performance Pkg.
And it all ran from 63-67

Also, the seats were A-Body Dodge dart seats and the console was a Polara. The horn rings for the white steering wheels, was also a Polara.

As I said, it has been 16-17 years since I researched it. Forgot the specifics of it. Still, Max Wedge with 78 series bias ply tires had to be interesting under a power take off, lol! Come to think of it, my first boss back in ‘72 had one with a 383. Finally realized that after all this time. Dang, nearly 50 years ago!
