Found out yesterday, that Russ passed away. His wife Debbie posted on social media that he was with his family when he passed.
RIP Russ.
I posted it on the DTA in the Memorial section too.

This is the original Russ from way back. Russ Roth jokingly called himself the other Russ. We lived on opposite coasts but kept in touch by phone, Russ would attend a reunion in Georgia of some of his war buddies every few years and would visit me while here. My wife and I always enjoyed his visits and we will miss him. Here is a pic of me, him, and another Sweptliner whose name I can't remember. RIP, Russ.

A real stand up guy, extremely knowledgeable, helpful and an awesome build on his W200 bought new by his father.
Visited him in Portland in 2005 and enjoyed countless phone and email conversations.
Sad news, Russ will be missed! :pale

Russ was a great guy. We met up with some Sweptline guys several years
ago in the WA / OR region. Russ and Jeff Clare gave my wife & I a nice
driving tour of the Columbia River region. Russ was a big time fisherman.
He was also a Vietnam Combat Veteran [Medic] and shared some hairy
moments of his time "in country" with us. I'll miss him.
