DTA Forum

Post by swptln »

Hey guy's,
Putting out a shameless plug for the DTA forum and site
Myself and Phil are working on some new stuff for the forum and site, I've already made a few changes in the forum.
We'll be doing some updates and adding some cool stuff as time goes on, as I have some new ideas I want get going on.
I was sucked into the social media stuff and pretty much dropped the ball on the site and forum, but not to rant.....but I want to see if we can get the forum back to a respectable place to share and look up info. As most of you already know social media is ok, but god trying to find stuff is crazy and it's just a glorified news feed with no organization and a constant rerun of people talking about the same thing over and over.
Anyway's keep checking the Forum and the site, I think you'll like what's coming and you'll see :dance

Great news, Mark. :Thumbsup Personally speaking, I never stopped checking the
DTA Forum. :study Also, personally speaking, I never made it onto any other
wildly popular [over hyped] social media type outlets.

Hey John,
Ya, the social media stuff is out of control.
One of the reasons I'm back here on the forums and want to get things improved on the site and forum. :Thumbsup

I still drop in over there & on Gordon's PWA site from time to time. If someone has posted something that I feel I can contribute to, then I'll reply. Otherwise I just pass on by quietly.
Marriage/family/work/mortgage/life keep me to busy to even drive my truck much, let alone post about it.

I'm glad you're still putting effort into it, it really is a valuable resource.

Hope things pick up with the changes! I’m new here and to the Sweptline platform but I’ve already met folks willing to help me out with knowledge and parts needed. Forums are the only social media I participate in so it’s been hard watching most of them slip away as there is so much great info on tap. FB seems to be consuming everyone these days but maybe there are enough getting tired of it that places like this will come back around.

It would be good to see the threads and replies to threads all visible on one page the way most forums are set up. Having to click on each indented reply to see what a member has added is awkward.

Log in and edit your settings:
click on Control Center
go to Options
Forum Settings

then set Message reading display options:
then select Multiple messages per page sorted by time
and then I think you need to press Submit

I agree that seeing all replies at once is better.

Created a Gallery in the tech forum too to try it a different way of viewing, brochures, etc.
Check it out, what say you all?
