NICE video!! Must be a "car show" with all those American Cars passing you. I like that Tall POINTY mountain too (just after you turn right from the bridge)! Beautiful scenery where you live.

Thank you, yes there was a car show that day. That mountain you see is locally called "Sukkertoppen" (translates in to Sugar top) as it looks a bit like this coneshapes they made with sugar way back in the olden times:

Sugarcane is a rounded cone of compressed refined sugar.

From around the 1500s to the end of the 19th century, sugar peaks were the most common way of converting sugar. As the sugar manufacturers began to produce sugar cubes and powdered sugar, the sugar peaks largely disappeared from the market. They are rarely produced in some countries, among others in Germany, where they are used in the Christmas punch Feuerzangenbowle. Sugar tops were cut into smaller pieces with a special tongue to get more manageable piece. They traditionally ranged in size from 1.8 to 14 kg. Because of the refining process, the quality of the sugar peaks was poorer the larger they were.

The "sugar pie" is the name of several peaks: the sugar pie in Ålesund in Norway, the sugar pie in Horsens and the sugar pie in Brønderslev in Denmark, the sugar pie in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and the sugar pie in Queen Maud Land in Antarctica.

Thanks for the comments. I have had plans on doing more drives in the truck with cameras mounted on. This one the camera was mounted to the mirror post but I have to figure out some more mounting options aswell. I did have one on the rear bumper aswell but it did not give very good shots. I also tried to have one mounted sideways on the rear of the roof and it did give some nice shots but the camera had a datecode showing so I decided not to use it. Here is some snapshots from that camera from the same trip:

Been there, done that, camped in those mountains - fabulous country!!!
The trippy thing is, there is no stripe down the middle of the road - only one on each side by the edge, so u learn to stay to the "side" of the "one lane" roads thru the mountains.
Even went to "Hell" while I was there.

Yes, the roads here are quite narrow, in many places too narrow for two large vehicles to pass eachother in a safe manner. Amazingly it does not end in bad accidents all the time (only some of the time...)

I actually drove almost the same trip (without the southern parts) this weekend as I went with a friend to deliver a boat to Andøya Space Center way up north. We did spend a night in Narvik, just like Harry in these videos. When we went north and passed the artic circle we came in a blizzard and had a very near death experience as we lost sight of the road (total white out) and got stuck in a snowdrift. Tried to get out of the car but with extreme winds, snow and freezing temperatures we had to jump in the car again with in a matter of seconds. In the chaos we ended up braking the gearbox on the car we drove (a 2000 Mercedes C-class C220 CDI with auto) and had only second gear as forward gear for the rest of the trip. We had to keep it at 4500rpm and had a topspeed of 68kmh (41mph) and drove like that for a total of 26 hours straight. I got home at 6 oclock this morning (some 8,5 hours ago) after having driven nonstop from Narvik yesterday morning. A distance of 930km (577miles) it took us a total of 18 hours to drive with only a couple of stops (one on a ferry that you can also see in Harrys video above). I wish we had a camera on the car because this trip was truly epic.
